Process Parameter Optimization for 3D Printed Investment Casting Wax Pattern and Its Post-Processing Technique

This research paper aims to improve the quality of 3D printed parts made wax filament by implementing Taguchi orthogonal array process optimization method. The manufactured can be used as cost-effective investment casting patterns. With method, it was concluded that nozzle temperature has most effect on dimensional accuracy parts. In addition, thermal, mechanical, and rheological characterization were performed filament, revealing several important findings. For instance, studies identified low viscosity melted at printing temperatures. resulted in rough surface To roughness, a post-processing procedure implemented using white spirit smoothing agent.
